I'm not the type of girl to fawn over editorials. Now, don't get me wrong: I have fallen in love with a few along the way, usually when they are so completely bizarre and out there that they trigger my somewhat sick sense of humour. But very few, y'know, move me.

And then there was Lula.


I'm not a huge fan of Lula, although I have been known to pick it up every one in a while. The styling, while quite lovely, is just a bit too quaint for my tastes. But this editorial... holy fucking cow...it hit me like a hammer from Valhalla.

While there are undoubtedly newer, more intricate spreads from the magazine floating about, this is the one that has--and perhaps always will--stuck out in my mind. Its appeal lies in its simplicity.

I love how stark the second image is. It's an example of what I only wish I could do with my fancy schmancy camera that I can't use for shit.

Oh, and the clothes ain't bad either.

Okay, so my shoe closet is kind of out of hand. I'll admit it, I'm a shoe addict. I've been pretty good for the last few months, staying on the straight and narrow and what not but... then I saw THIS:

I love Dolce Vita. Once I get these babies, I'll have my triangle of fly ass shoes--all in black--my real trompers, not the frou-frou Miu Miu heels that I only wear twice a year because I'm afraid of breaking the heel.

I bought perhaps the most awesome shoes ever a few days ago. Or rather, I ordered them, and they arrived in the mail today.

These babies out-fetish the most fetishistic shoes I've seen. And they're surprisingly comfy--I was tramping up and down in my room in them for quite a while, and my arches didn't ache one bit. Best of all, they look killer with my new rag & bone dress... more on that shit later.
